Al öMantheri, INTOSAI chief
discuss co-operation

MUSCAT — Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of Majlis Addawla
received here yesterday Dr Josef Moser, the Secretary-General of INTOSAI and
President of the Austrian Court of Audit, and his delegation. Dr Al Mantheri
welcomed the guests and underlined the importance of such meetings in
exchange of ideas on mutual concern. The Majlis chief briefed the delegation
on the Shura march in the Sultanate and the Majlis’s functioning and role.
Dr Joseph and his delegation expressed their appreciation with regard to
their visit and the good opportunity it availed them for meeting Omani
officials. They also praised Oman’s all round development and the efforts
being made in various spheres.
The meeting was attended by Majlis members, Nasser bin Hamoud al Rawahi,
deputy head of the State Finance, Ambassador of Austria to Oman and
officials. Later, Dr Joseph and his delegation visited the Sultan Qaboos
Grand Mosque. The guest toured the mosque’s various sections. The Austrian
guest and his delegation were briefed on stages of building the mosque, its
major important sections and its role in enriching Islamic culture and
serving the religion. |
