Sultanate braces for GCC summit MUSCAT — The Sultanate has made all preparations to host the 29th GCC Supreme Council leader’s summit due to be held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel here tomorrow and the day after. Muscat roads have been decorated with the GCC flags and portraits of the leaders who will be the guests of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. The welcoming signboards have been placed in key areas at the Sultan Qaboos Road from Al Sahwa roundabout to Al Bustan Palace Hotel, where the GCC leaders will stay during the summit. The signboards carry expressions of warm welcome and wishes for the success of the leaders in realising the aspirations of the GCC people. They also reflect the Omani people’s delight over the advent of the leaders and the convening of the summit in Muscat. GCC foreign ministers will hold at Al Bustan Palace Hotel today a session complementing their 109th meeting during which the ministers will finalise the agenda of 29th GCC summit.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           — ONA
