Dutch minister begins visit
MUSCAT —
Maria van der Hoeven, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, arrived here yesterday on a two-day visit. An official session of talks will be held at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry today. The session will be chaired by Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and the Dutch minister. It will explore enhancing economic ties in trade, industry, investment and ports sectors along with other issues of common interest to the two friendly countries.

The Dutch minister will also confer with Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, and Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Oil and Gas. The guest minister and her delegation were received upon arrival by Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Under-Secretary for Commerce and Industry, and the ambassador of the Netherlands. — ONA
