HM gets more Eid greetings
MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has received more cables of greetings on the occasion of Eid al Adha from leaders of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries and dignitaries. 

His Majesty received the cables from US President George W Bush; Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice-President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai; Shaikh Saqr bin Mohammed al Qasmi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras al Khaimah; Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed al Qasmi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah; Shaikh Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa, Bahrain Heir Apparent and Deputy Supreme Commander of Bahrain Defence Force; Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Heir Apparent of Qatar; Shaikh Nawaf al Ahmed al Sabah, Heir Apparent of Kuwait; Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Heir Apparent of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan al Qasmi, Heir Apparent and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh; Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Finance Minister of the UAE; Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain; Mohammed al Ghannouchi, Prime Minister of Tunisia; and Farouq al Shara, Foreign Minister of Syria.

His Majesty the Sultan also received Eid greeting cables from Royal family members, ministers, advisers, members of the Majlis Addawla and Majlis Ash’shura, under-secretaries, Omani ambassadors abroad, and senior dignitaries from Arab and Islamic countries and the Sultanate. They expressed their wishes of continued good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan. They wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan. They also wished the Arab world and Islamic nation bounties and blessings on the occasion of Eid al Adha.

n His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al Adha by telephone with King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Abdallah of Jordan, wishing them good health, happiness and a long life. He wished the peoples of Bahrain and Jordan continued progress and the Arab and Islamic nations bounty and blessings. King Hamad and King Abdallah expressed their sincere wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan. They hoped the Omani people will continue to enjoy progress and prosperity under His Majesty the Sultan's wise leadership. — ONA
