Frankfurt win in Dortmund BERLIN — Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday came from behind to beat high-flying Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in an entertaining German Bundesliga match played in Dortmund. Although Frankfurt took the lead through Swiss international Benjamin Koehler in the eighth minute, Mats Hummels had brought his side level just nine minutes later. Lucas Barrios gave the home side the lead in the 57th minute. However, Sebastian Jung equalised for the visitors just eight minutes later with a well-taken long-range effort. Alex Meier then found the winner for Frankfurt in the 74th minute to give Michael Skibbe three points at the club he coached for several years. Mainz 05 edged closer to a Europa League place after beating visiting Borussia Moenchengladbach 1-0. |
