Ministry officials inspect OCMT
MUSCAT —
Officials from the Ministry of Higher Education visited Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) recently. In
its annual visit, the ministry officials inspected the college’s standards to ensure that the university and colleges in the Sultanate maintain common standards laid down by the ministry. The panel visited the present campus as well as the new one, where the college is likely to
be shifted in the near future, and expressed its views and suggestions to the management.


Design exhibition opens

The second edition of the design and innovation exhibition opened at the Sohar College of Applied Sciences yesterday under the auspices of Dr Abood bin Hamed al Sawafi, Vice-Chancellor of Sohar University. The exhibition, being organised by the Design Department of the college, aims at consolidating theoretical and practical knowledge of the second year students.

Sixth stage of mangrove plantation launched
SHINAS —
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, represented by the Environment and Nature Preservation Department in the Northern Al Batina region, yesterday launched the sixth stage of the mangrove plantation project at Khour al Wadiyat in the Wilayat of Shinas. During this campaign, more than 12,000 mangrove saplings were planted, taking to 72,000 the total of mangroves so far.
